APRIL 12, 2010 - ME AND MY SPREADSHEETS

I keep a spreadsheet of what the scale says every day. I have columns built in that tell me:

1. My actual scale weight that day
2. My 7-day average, which really makes more sense than the daily weight
3. My 28-day average
4. My average scale weight for each month since I started. To get this, I just add up all my daily actual scale weights and then divide that number by how many days were in that particular month.

Here are my monthly averages:

155.0 - February 2009
150.9 - March 2009
148.3 - April 2009
145.8 - May 2009
142.6 - June 2009
141.5 - July 2009
141.6 - August 2009
141.9 - September 2009
141.7 - October 2009
140.5 - November 2009
141.2 - December 2009
141.4 - January 2010
143.9 - February 2010
143.8 - March 2010
143.6 – April 2010

At least it is now going back down! It's fun for me to look at this number, but when I am losing, the number always lags behind what my actual scale weight is.

Although my average for April 2010 was 143.6, my actual scale weight on April 30th was 140.6 and my lowest weight that month was 138.8.
